Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Ewing Ventures LLC, doing business as CUVANA (“CUVANA”, “we”, “us”), collects when you visit cuvanaecigar.com, buy from us, or contact us, and how we use and share it.

Who we sell to. Our products are for adults 21 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.

What we collect

  • Order and account details: name, billing and shipping address, email, phone, what you bought, and your order history. If you create an account, your login details.
  • Age verification: to confirm you’re 21+, your name, address and date of birth are checked by our age-verification provider, AgeChecker.net. If more proof is needed, AgeChecker.net may ask you for a photo ID. AgeChecker.net handles your ID; we keep only the result and a verification reference number, not a copy of your ID.
  • Payment: your card is processed by Authorize.net. We never see or store your full card number. For subscriptions and saved cards, Authorize.net stores the card and gives us a token.
  • Subscriptions: your plan, schedule, and a record that you agreed to automatic renewal (the time, your IP address and the wording you agreed to).
  • Messages: what you send through our contact form or by email.
  • Email list (CUVANA Reserve): your email address and the time and wording of your signup.
  • Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, kept in our web server logs, and the cookies our store needs to work (for example, your cart and login). We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

  • To take, charge, ship and support your orders and subscriptions.
  • To verify your age and prevent fraud.
  • To send order, shipping and subscription emails. Marketing email goes only to people who signed up, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
  • To meet legal duties. Federal law (the PACT Act) and state tax laws require us to keep records of vapor-product sales and to report them to government agencies. These records include your name, address, phone, and what was shipped.
  • To answer your questions and improve our store.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with companies that help us run the store, and only for that purpose:

  • AgeChecker.net: age verification
  • Authorize.net: card payments and saved cards
  • Rocketship and its delivery carriers: packing and delivering your order (adult signature)
  • Nexcess: hosts our website
  • Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES): sends our emails
  • Our accountants and bookkeeping software: tax filings and records
  • Government agencies: state and local tax agencies and others as required by the PACT Act and state law, and when a court or law requires it

We may also share information if the business is sold or merged, with the new owner keeping this policy’s promises.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any such sale or sharing.

How long we keep it

  • Order and age-verification records: at least 4 years, as the PACT Act requires, and longer where tax law requires.
  • Contact-form messages and email logs: as long as needed to help you, then deleted.
  • Email list: until you unsubscribe.

Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe from marketing email with the link in any email.
  • Update your details in My Account.
  • Ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it: email customerservice@cuvanaecigar.com. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states have these rights by law, and we honor them for everyone. We can’t delete records the law requires us to keep, such as PACT Act sales records, and will tell you if that applies. We may need to verify your identity first. You can use an authorized agent. We won’t treat you differently for making a request.

Security. We use HTTPS, a managed host, and payment and verification providers that specialize in protecting sensitive data. No system is perfect; tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.
